Dr Hanns Kendel

Dr. Hanns Kendel is a passionate advocate for human rights and education, and has dedicated his career to empowering marginalised communities. His academic journey began at The School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, where he earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D degrees. He continued to serve SOAS as a lecturer for eight years, where he fostered his deep understanding of constitutionalism and its impact on social justice. Hanns' research focused on legal frameworks and their influence on the lives of disadvantaged individuals,particularly in relation to socioeconomic rights.

This knowledge led him to actively engage in development work, including his current roles with UNICEF and as a trustee of AACT, where he focuses on expanding access to quality education in Bangladesh. Dr. Kendel’s experience as a former first responder with the Red Cross also fuels his interest in disaster relief efforts. His unwavering commitment to social justice and equality makes him a powerful force for positive change in the world.
